Trip to the Dallol Volcano

Day 1:

• We embark on a journey from Mekelle to the Dodom Camp, the starting point for exploring the remarkable Danakil Depression.
• After an early dinner at the Dodom, around 17:00, we will set out on a trek to the Erta Ale Volcano. Camels will transport our camping equipment and some provisions, including sleeping materials like lightweight mattresses and mats, as well as water, to the volcano's rim. Here, we will spend the night observing the captivating spectacle of the boiling lava. Our overnight camping experience on the mountain promises to be really memorable.

Day 2:

• Rise and shine for an early start. After breakfast, we will begin our journey back to Dodom. 
• We will then continue our drive towards Hamadela, covering a distance of 100 km. Along the way, we'll stop for a picnic lunch under the shelter of a palm tree.
• By approximately 16:30, we will reach Hamadela, a vibrant region. Here, you will have the chance to witness numerous camel caravans and enjoy a captivating sunset over the shallow salt Assale Lake. 
• Our overnight stay will be at the Hamadela campsite, offering a unique camping experience.

Day 3:

• In the morning, we will embark on a fascinating tour starting with a drive to Ragad Volcano Crater, the site where the locals engage in salt mining activities. On arrival, you will have the opportunity to witness the process of extracting salt from the ground. The local people skillfully cut the salt into rectangular pieces and load them onto camels. 
• Continuing our journey, we will drive to Dallol Volcano, where you will be amazed by the diverse landscapes shaped by volcanic activity. 
• Afterwards, we will drive back to Hamadela for a well-deserved lunch before proceeding to our final destination, Mekele. Reflecting on the incredible experiences and sights witnessed throughout the day, we will make our way back to Mekele, concluding this memorable journey.
